Studying gold crafting

The courses in Bezalel graduate, 16 year goldsmith and designer, Nilli Lior's studio are divided into two parts.
The basics including: sawing, welding, stone setting, metal combinations, textures, filing, reticulation, flattening, learning about stones, setting and polishing.

Later on, additional techniques are skills are learnt using a variety of metals. Jewellery is gold crafted, charms, light fittings, Judaica (holy objects), and decorative objects.

The techniques are learnt in accordance with the project pursued by the student. Unlike in other schools, the students at Nilli Lior's studio choose their own projects according to their personal taste and not according to a set study programme, thus enabling them to create according to their individual taste.

Courses in wax can take place on a regular basis or as a concentrated course.
Courses in glass beads take place at special times according to demand.
Supervision is individual and in accordance with the pace and ability of every student.
There is no need for prior knowledge in this field.

Courses take place 6 days a week:
Morning: 09:00-12:00
Afternoon: 14:45-16:45
Evening: 18:30-20:30
Fridays: 09:00-12:00
